DAUGHTER HAS NOT HAD HER PERIODS TILL SIXTEEN YEARS My daughter is now sixteen years old. But has not got her menstrual periods as yet. Could the delayed periods be due to her poor health? If your daughter has developed secondary sexual characteristics like pubic hair and breasts, it is likely that she will get her periods very soon, possibly within the year. The delayed periods can be due to her poor health. Please do not worry about the irregular size of her breasts. Breast development is frequently irregular in the teens. They will become the same size by the time they are fully developed. Please wait till she is eighteen years old. If she does not get her periods by then, please consult a doctor.
