HOW TO INCREASE THE SIZE OF THE BREASTS

When I was in my teens, genetics had blessed me with large breasts. I was a thin girl with already a C-cup and still growing! But I ended up turning bulemic for about six months, during which I lost most of my chest. I''m now 25 years old and don''t know if I''m either a full A-cup or small B-cup, but they''re just about one extended female handful. I see my thin 17-year-old sister and she must have at least a D-cup, and it makes me insanely jealous, knowing what I threw away. Do you think there''s any way for me to gain back what I lost? To increase the size of my breasts? Does my fat genetically tend to store in my breasts, and thus I should try to intake a more high-fat diet? Or was the breast growth probably limited only to puberty and I''m stuck with these smaller breasts for life?

Kay,

The size of the breasts depends on two things - the size of the actual breast tissue and the amount of fat deposited around this tissue.

The breast tissue develops during puberty and the size depends to a great extent on genetics. Once the tissue grows to a certain level, it stays in that size till pregnancy occurs. More growth occurs in pregnancy. The breast tissues then remains at that size until at the time of menopause when the estrogen level decreases. At this time, the amount of breast tissue may decrease.

Any change of breast size during the period between the puberty and the menopause (except for the time in pregnancy)is because of the changes in the amount of fat and not the amount of breast tissue itself.

This is the reason why when a person loses weight, the breasts decrease in size and fat people very often have big breasts.

So, if you had developed to a c-cup during puberty, the amount of breast tissue growth at the time is still present now. What you have lost is fat and once your body weight increases, you should see your breasts growing to at least a c-cup again.

I hope this helps.

Dr. Mazumdar, is the location of fat based on genetics? I don't have very much fat on my body at all and it's difficult for me to gain weight, but if I make the extra effort, is it likely that the results would show in my breasts, or might the fat shift to other parts of my body instead?

REPLY

Kay,

The fat deposition will occur all over the body, not specifically on the breasts.

But once you put on weight you will notice that the breasts are becoming larger together with fat deposits on other parts of the body. The location of fat is not based on genetics.
